NGD: Faded CAR Danocaster
Sold my vintage Telecaster Deluxe that I never liked as much as I wanted to and turned it into a Danocaster. My house has the lighting of a medieval dungeon and I don't have a sweet deck so...
The Candy Apple Red is faded to almost a peach color.
Now to decide if I'm going to put Novak Thunderbirds in my Thin Skin '65... and then I might embrace the minimalism of that other thread.

This thing is amazing I tend to love CAR in general, but it looks even better when it's faded.

Re: NGD: Faded CAR Danocaster
Sound, it's not as bright as my Thin Skin '65 - I don't know if it's the pickups or if Dan used non-1 meg pots in it but it makes a nice contrast to the TS. It's quiet (for a Jazzmaster) too.
Feel, outstanding. I'm not that picky about neck finishes, aside from high-gloss urethane (ala Epiphone) feeling too sticky to me, but whatever hand-rubbed French polish nitro thing he does just feels incredible.

I'm not one for red guitars too much but cannot resist faded CAR. Those blocks too.... Whats the weight on this one? Alder body?

Same, I don't own a single red guitar -- but if I found one that looked like that, I'd be all over it. That thing is gorgeous.
