G&G Custom Cases
Hey all. I recently got an all-white jazzy. I'm thinking of getting a custom case from G&G when they start doing orders again. I'm having a hard time picking the color for the plush interior though. Obviously it's low-stakes, but I'm trying to figure out what looks the best with the white. I love the Johnny Marr case but I think the blue might not highlight the white guitar as much as something else. They look surprisingly rad on gold but on its own that's not my favorite color.
Anyone have pics of their white guitars in G&G cases? I dunno if they do white plush but that COULD look rad as hell, OR really boring lol.

Haha, good question man
I like the gold interior, but I do fret it’s a bit loud and flashy at times, but ultimately I wouldn’t change, I don’t think anyway. Saying that, I like the red an all, if that’s an option. Is the case the brown or black outer shell? Gun to my heid, I’d go brown/gold interior, black/red interior

i think i want the black and white tweed, and then not sure which lining cause i dunno what would look the best behind the white guitar. i loved the marr look but then looked it up with the white marr jag and it's...fine but kinda boring? was kinda surprised that the gold seems a better fit for the white guitar, given how much i like that blue.
the plush blue makes me think of the title screen of Blue Velvet so that's a plus for that one lol

Re: G&G Custom Cases
I have a G&G case that came with my G&L Doheny. Basic black interior and black exterior.
The interior picks up specks from my strap (suede leather) and they really show.
I'd maybe give some thought to whether an exotic color is going to look dirty all the time.
I don't know if there's anyway out of the issue by getting a different case, but the G&G case for a JM sized guitar is just wide enough that it is kind of annoying putting it in the car. Almost any other guitar/case can be put sideways in the trunk of my Subaru outback, the G&G JM sized case is the only one that has to be put diagonal. Only really a big deal if a bunch of other stuff is going in the trunk, and obviously I have a ton of room in my car, but it could be an annoying thing on some cars. A Tele or Strat size case is a couple inches shorter and stacks/arranges easier.

I have a white MIJ Jaguar that came in a black case with sort of a forest green interior. Looks awesome.

I have a couple of Marr Jags (and the two C&G cases). One of the cases sheds the plushy fibers pretty badly (the one with the black interior vs the blue interior). Not sure why only one of them does that. My LPB Marr came with the stock C&G case with the black interior, and when I take it out of the case there's always little black fibers on the pickguard.

agreed!
i just found out about this one

and i am really tempted to try to flip mine and get this one. my white guitar on the white interior might not pop as much, but i vastly prefer this exterior to the brown one

When this line first came out there was only Strat/Tele cases. Now looks like I'm gonna have to treat myself too. Shell pink Jag in a shell pink caseRainbow Battle Kid wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 8:43 amagreed!

I've not had a G&G case that didn't shed. I presume it will become less of an issue with time but it's definitely a bummer.Meriphew wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 7:11 amI have a couple of Marr Jags (and the two C&G cases). Re: G&G Custom Cases
That's not a G&G case, it's a Fender case made in China. I've read those are pretty cheaply made and not as good as the G&Gs (made in USA).Rainbow Battle Kid wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 8:43 amagreed!

i wish g&g were doing custom orders or had more options for jazzys right now. i emailed them and they said they're short-staffed and it's hard to get materials so they dont know when they'll be doing custom orders again.

Re: G&G Custom Cases
I really hope their staffing issues get resolved as my CS G&G case made this year was awful QC… as was the £3.5k guitar that came with it. Back it went!

Re: G&G Custom Cases
ah that'd be amazing. seems like they're not as good quality as the G&G, so i'm not sure i'd want to "downgrade" just to have something that looks cooler. might just stick it out and see if they start doing customs again. would love to see pics regardless tho, might sway me lol
i think my ideal combo would be their black/white tweed with the blue plush interior
