The people I bought the pickups from didn't have any more stock to replace them with so I had to order from elsewhere. They came this morning so it's now all done.

Excuse the random white switch, I'm waiting on a black one but wanted to get it up and running. Sounds good and the setup was nice and easy.

AVRI vibrato should be here in a week or so but for now I used an old Allparts plate.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

That looks incredible. I love gold guitars, I almost bought a gold MJT Tele body last spring, but then I saw a gorgeous burst body available immediately on eBay, so I went for that instead. That looks classy as hell, though.

It definitely looks the part. and now it's got good electronics (Switchcraft, CTS, AV pickups, cloth wire, etc) it sounds awesome too. Slightly bassier than my AV65 (which shares the same electronics spec now) but otherwise indistinguishable aurally.

I really dislike the feel of a poly finish these days, even when nice and thin like this one, but the important part is the sound.

Now, all I need to find is an OTM 62-67 Jaguar and I can die happy. Shame they're made of pure unobtanium.

That is gorgeous. I love custom color Jaguars that are a little beaten up  :-*

Stumbled upon this post as I was trying to get information on this guitar! I just purchased the exact same guitar and color. Noticed after removing the neck it was stamped JG66-RC. RC seemingly standing for "rare color". The sale prices on the JG66s on reverb are getting a little out of hand, but I feel I got a fair deal. I know this is an old post, but would you mind me asking what you paid for it at the time?
