Sorry - It was my understanding that this one had the AVRI 62 pickups in it? Did they have special pickups too?
This was my understanding too - regular AVRI62 pickups. Which are excellent BTW.

Great video! One of these popped up on my fb marketplace here in Sweden for about 3k usd, I believe it's the first one I've seen for sale here. Would love to own one some day but for now your video scratched my itch to get one.
Thanks so much! I'd like to think I saved you 3k then. πŸ˜‡

I finally got around to watching the video and I thought it was really great. I dig the presentation style and your editing. You got me with the MGS sounds too.
You're too kind and I am glad you enjoyed the sounds! Been wanting a remaster of MGS 3 for ages. No remake, just raise the resolution and add anti-aliasing and I'll be glad for another 17 years. Which one's your favourite?

That was everyone's understanding, myself included! Fender's internal spec sheet sez otherwise.

I'll keep it brief as I could easily derail this thread, but MGS3 was where I came in as a player and as such have always had a soft spot for it and the other Big Boss games. I think their all great though and MGS2 especially was scarily prescient.

I feel MGS2 is the most underrated of the bunch, and I will never forget playing it when it came out for PS2 and how realistic it looked compared to MGS1 on the PS1 and how insane it was that Solid Snake had grown a beard, lol!

Speaking of Big Boss games, Peace Walker was a welcome entry into the series! Anyway, Jazzmasters anyone? :w00t:
