NBD: Partscaster BMM Jazz Bass

Post by Sauerkraut » Sun Oct 24, 2021 3:13 am

Just finished putting together and setting up my new Jazz Bass, so here's some phone pictures. The body and matching headstock were finished in beautiful aged Burgundy Mist by Rexter. He absolutely nailed the subtle copper-y hue I asked for.

Still on the fence about the pickguard... I think it'd look better with Lavaguards tort.

Parts-wise, the thing is 0% Fender;
Schaller tuners, Wilkinson bridge, body and neck from two UK-based stores, Novak pickups.

That is beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen BMM on a bass, OR a bass with a matching headstock. :-*

That is so sick! I've got a BMM bass too! I wanted mine a hair lighter in hue because I saw an old faded BMM bass I wanted to replicate (in a million years)

I like the guard on yours! I wish Rexter was in the US. I think he does the best finishing work. I think shipping both ways would kill any project :(

Thanks!

Your BMM bass looks great. So do all the other custom colour ones, especially that dark green P-Bass. That's not a Fender colour though, or is it? What's it called?

Thanks, dude. The P bass is Charcoal Frost after it has gone green. That's actually a Danocaster P bass, he nailed the color. I love when Charcoal Frost goes green like that.

This was the inspiration for it:
