Looks great, what pickup are they?
These are Lollar Goldfoils- they are an upgrade option on their website builder/estimator.
They sound FANTASTIC.

Nice! I paused looking at the bridge picture and my mind went blank for a second wondering if there was a missing string. Glad my brain was right. LOL
it always seems to be the g string that breaks for me...
Same. My XII has the same bridge and I've had to replace the G-octave string three times in two years.
I've dealt with that problem a LOT over my 3 decades of XII-slinging- I have several of mine fitted with a doubled-g, but I do prefer the sound of the octave pair. Most of my problems with it went away when I switched from .09s to .10s. (I like the D'addario XL 12-string set, but sometimes I bump that octave G up one notch in thickness- just that one string)
Also, when you're setting up or re-stringing, double-check for burrs or rough edges on the bridge saddle (or on the tuner post if the break happens there most often.)

Great looking guitar! Congrats!!! I live in Ogden Utah, and the last two guitars that were shipped to me got lost for a few days with Fed Ex! Glad you got yours:)
Utards, unite! I know Ogden and Orem don't usually mix much, but I'm glad to see a fellow beehiver here on OSG!

I'm good with Oremites:) I've played quite a few private events there, and I use to play every Sunday day during the ski season at Sundance for about 7 years!

.....annnnndd I sold it.
Put it on Reverb for $1K more than I paid for it, basically because that's how I talked my wife into extending my budget for the year.
Sold over Thanksgiving weekend.
But DAMN. that is a FINE guitar. I'll probably always regret letting it go.
Hmm.... now my mind is itching for a Ric 12.
We'll see....

I'm not sure if you've messed with Dano 12's before, but I find them far easier to play than the Rics and I personally think they sound better too...

Yeah- I've got my sights on a couple Danelectros that'll probably make an appearance here soon. I've played a LOT of them, but never owned one.

Damn, that was one absolutely gorgeous guitar. Dream guitar territory for me. I'm sure that somebody will be very happy with it.

I'm missing it terribly already- should have listed it higher...
(high enough that nobody would even think about buying it!)
I spent some time on the BilT site today dreaming about my ideal specs, but honestly I don't know if any of the other options/upgrades would make it any better than this one- color choice and pickups switch around in my mind, but I just don't see anything that would be a major improvement.

That's awesome. May I ask what kind of ballpark figure such a guitar costs? You can PM me if you'd rather not say it in 'public'.

Super and not too bad a price for something so unique.

This is one of those guitars that has some really cool options but to me it's sort of like a fantasy football team or something. I mean, it is super unique... but you will need to have some specific needs/tastes to really PLAY this guitar. That is why I suspect this guitar has been bought and sold a few times in its short life.
I hope it finds a good home; it's damn cool.

I do.
If [when] I was building a guitar specifically for me, it might [did] come out a different color but I would hope that it would play and sound as excellent as this one did.
My bespoke-built Texas Toast XII measures up! If I didn't have that to console me, I'd be severely depressed right now.

You should have seen what I bought it for!
