Trent Guitars
Howdy everyone, just thought I’d introduce myself as a few people have told me you might be into what I’m doing over here.
Basically, my names Elliott Trent and I have recently launched Trent Guitars. I’m a former cabinetmaker based in the UK and I spent the latter end of 2020 developing my first guitar for production. I make everything in house aside from the hardware and pickups, so that’s all the woodwork, spraying, fretwork, setup etc.
I call this initial guitar the ‘Model 1’ and I offer it in two different price points. The ‘debut’ is my entry level model which features a satin finish and a very limited customisation. Essentially you can upgrade the pickups and spec left or right handed. My ‘full fat’ model 1 unlocks a full gloss finish(you can still opt for satin), hard case and full customisation of scale length, fretboard radius and loads more bridge and vibrato options.
My finishes are what I believe sets me apart being that they are entirely water-based. Essentially it has the thinness of a nitro finish but doesn’t have the stand reactivity or health issues you get when applying it.
There’s a lot more info on my website but here are some pics!

Re: Trent Guitars
Ahh, I've seen these advertised to me on IG.
firstly, welcome. Love the concept and the designs are cool - very utilitarian looking in their simplicity (which is a good thing). And I like the fact you have your own shape going on. Would love to see one with some kind of vibrato eventually (as long as it isn't a strat-type or bigsby )

I love the reversed control plates. That looks so slick with the rest of your body design. Nice work!

Thank you!marqueemoon wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 1:47 pmThat is also one of my favorite touches. It plays off of the upper horn in a really nice way.
That was the intention, to work with the top horn.

Re: Trent Guitars
I just noticed that the roundover gets larger around the lower bout...that's a smooth transition there - and a cheeky little detail

Love these! Kind of gives me EBMM Mariposa vibes, but if Fender or Dano did them. Real fresh!
