Mockups can lie sometimes. The Contemporary Jag looked teal in promotion materials, yet IRL it's unambiguously blue...jdr1014 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 6:26 pmThese are kinda cool - especially for the price, but an offset with humbuckers and no trem is not exactly for me. Might be a fun little "project guitar" though. I'm sure many folks will really like them!
I love Sherwood Green but Squier's shade of it seems too light to my eye (just like the CV Strats with matching headstocks they had a few years back). Also, there seems to be a difference in stripe width and spacing between the green and yellow ones posted above.
So the guitar could well be darker, or maybe it'll have that bluish "DuPont" tinge.

Huh, I had it in my head that they were 24.75 since they first came out. I wonder where I got that idea from.Logrinn wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 4:10 amBullet Mustangs are 24” scale as well

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I didn’t know the cyclone was 24.75!
What do those Gibson scale fender necks feel like compared to 24 & 25.5?
Not that it matters to me being left handed

I can't speak for the current models, but I had a Squier Vintage Modified Thinline Telecaster that was 24.75 scale and it was great, really easy to play but probably a little less 'snappy' and more 'slinky' feeling than a normal Telecaster. Tone was a little darker than a full length Tele as well. Still felt very much like a Fender/Squier neck to play as it had the common Squier modern C profile, which always feels familiar whatever the scale length.

If anyone in NA is interested, I shot Fender an email asking about the availability of this model in our side of the world... will share the response when I get it.

I doubt they will be available in USA. I asked Thomann if they would be stocking them and they said they wouldn't. This looks like a UK exclusive only.

Andertons & CME now have some kind of 'thing' going with Fender, so it will very likely be available there tooMervynskidmore wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 12:56 amI doubt they will be available in USA. It's available in a number of UK stores so it doesn't seem to be a part of the Andertons/CME partnership. The stripes aren't really to my liking but I'm just tempted by anything Sherwood Green. Thinking about buying this and sticking an aged pearloid pickguard on it and kiwi the neck.

That's a huge bummer. The "greener" Sherwood finish is by far my favorite one, and this is legitimately the first Mustang that has it.Mervynskidmore wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 12:56 amI doubt they will be available in USA. Heard back from Fender support, they confirmed it's an Europe-only run. Saaaaaaad
