Pau ferro is beautiful. Before it became Fender's standard replacement for rosewood, I always saw it as an upgrade when window-shopping Warmoth.
It's perhaps more hit and miss than rosewood - it can look dull and boring if there's no real figuring - but good pau ferro with a nice grain pattern is easily better than even the nicest examples of rosewood, IMO.

+1
It just takes (a lot) more oil to look its best, but its best beats the best rosewood

Sorry to sidetrack a bit. I recognize the Lead and Bass but what cab is that underneath? Having owned a Lead and Bass awhile ago, I know that's too small for a 4x12 but is it 2x12 or 4x10 or what? It's perfect!

It's a 2061X head, and the matching 2061CX cab - which is a 2x12.

Marshall should really make more 2x12's in that format. I have a 1966A in that format and it's the perfect size for smaller amp heads.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Agreed! It is fairly compact, not too heavy, and you don't have to tilt it back to hear yourself onstage.

Huh, I thought the matching 2061cx was narrower than that? Almost as narrow as the head.

It is wider than the head - about 3" on each side. It is smaller than the Marshall 4x12 cabs though. Another pic for reference.

Still looks a lot more proportional than I expected. Anyway, awesome setup!
