MNGD: Multiple New Guitar Days! (LP pg. 3, PP JM pg. 6)
After a good hard think, I decided to liquidate the rest of my dad's and my photography equipment collection and only keep the cameras and lenses that get weekly use. No shelf queens for me anymore!
Turns out, my stuff is worth more than I thought, and, after another think, I decided to embrace the idea of a curated collection of guitars, all of which I'd want to play on a regular or semi-regular basis.
That said, I've bought two cool used guitars- one's an offset, and one's a set-neck. They should be in my grubby hands by the end of the week!
I think this is when I type, "let the guessing begin!"

Re: MNGD: Multiple New Guitar Days!
I have insider information on one of these so I'll keep quiet.
I'll just say that I wholeheartedly support this. It can be hard to let nice things go, but turning unused items into one's you'll use and appreciate is never a wrong choice. I recently did a similar thing with music gear. Offloaded the case/shelf queens and set some of the money aside for things that will see more use.
I look forward to seeing what the second guitar is, no clue about that one, though my money is on a Gibson or small-buider "Gibson-ish" guitar.

I encourage anyone who has the same thing going to do it; it feels so good and tidies up not only your home, but your mind, too.mbene085 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 12:17 pmI have insider information on one of these so I'll keep quiet.

OK, so the "set-neck" pretty much means "Gibson-y," right?

Re: MNGD: Multiple New Guitar Days!
I bet I can guess what one of them is and it's black.
The offset one I don't know... Maggie has the Mustang thing pretty nailed down, and I'm going to guess some kind of cool, vintage Duo-Sonic.
Whatever it is it's going to make me jealous just like all Maggie's stuff always does.
I can't help but notice that neither is my brown Stratocaster.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

The offset is obviously RIO's Paisley JM -- it goes with the rest of the Paisley stuff Maggie has.
No idea what the second one is, even with Larry's "possible color" clue.

Yeah, I was kidding by guessing the entire category.
I'm excited to see what you got, though!

Larry, thanks to you, I've got a 1964 Mustang that is one of my dream guitars, along with my '61 SG Special!Larry Mal wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 2:46 pmI bet I can guess what one of them is and it's black.

I'd go for a Duo-Sonic, like my man, Jim Campilongo has, but I'm OK with my Squire CV Duo-Sonic, that I've tweaked.
FWIW, neither is black, but one is kinda red.
