Those custom colours are all very lovely, but I know this is what you’ve all been waiting for ....

Just kidding ;) and want to echo what others have said, Paul is a pleasure to deal with and I wish him all the best.

Custom colours are all very lovely but NOTHING really shows the true quality of a tort quite like a classic sunburst does. The ultimate yardstick.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Thanks dude, I was being slightly tongue in cheek as I know sunburst can divide opinion on here but yes I do love it, and custom colours too tbh, your BMM looks so much better now than with the stock tort, it’s a real looker, in fact every guitar posted in this thread look great. :)

Just wanted to highlight from the before and after since my project finished up. This tort is very dimensional and lighting greatly plays into how it’s viewed. Very much like vintage tort I’ve owned.

The first pic is in window sunlight. There are no image enhancements. The second pic is what MJT sent after assembly. Much like a good finish on a guitar, the light will make different areas pop at different times.

Here's mine, on an American Original (Ocean Turquoise).

Delivery time, costs and customer service were excellent. Incredibly pleased with this.

Killer. That looks great! I cannot recommend these enough. I’m in awe every time I walk into my music room and see my guitar hanging on the wall

Thanks!

I have never owned any vintage tort, but when I compare my pickguard (and the photos on this thread) with vintage tort Jazzmasters on Reverb, I honestly can't see that there's any real difference. I think Lavaguards are the closest you can get to the real stuff, and for a very reasonable price.

That's just perfect. I'm not a big fan of tort, but that guard on that guitar is incredible.

Lavaguards is legit. I like Paolo’s work also. Makes me wish I had more than one guitar that looks good w tort. Here’s that one:

Those are really nice and would make a wonderful replacement on my blonde and gold MIJ JM. Hmmm.
