NGD sherwood green mod shop jag
Hi all. Recently I got a sherwood green mod shop jag. I thought I would share mine given that I have not seen many posted (here or anywhere else).
For mine, I went with 62 pickups, a satin-finished modern C neck, and vintage style tuners. The main thing I was looking for in this was a jag with a vintage sound but a poly finish. I have a Marr and an AVRI 65 jag, which I love, but I don't feel comfortable leaving them on stands or traveling with them, so I end up playing them less. The sound is comparable to my other jags and it has got me playing much more frequently, so I feel it's been well worth it.
The reason I didn't get an Am pro was that I don't like CAR, which is usually the only finish you can still find them in. Also, I prefer rosewood necks, so the maple ones were a non-starter. Then there were v-mod pickups, which for me were the biggest turn-off.
The only issue with this was that Fender sent me the wrong trem arm. They said they'll send me the right am pro-style screw-in one, so no big deal.

Congratulations! I was doing some fiddling in the Mod Shop myself with the exact same color, Fender would have a lot more of my money if they weren't so stingy with their SG finishes...
Are all Mod Shop necks the same nut width (42.8")?

I'm not a fan of poly finishes, but that guitar looks awesome. Congrats!
I recently picked up a FCS Tele in sherwood green metallic. Def one of my fave colors on a Fender.

Looks beautiful! I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sherwood Green is - by a mile - the best colour Fender offer.

I got the exact same thing last month! Only difference is a black pg. It's a great combo of finish & features.

Congrats! That guitar is beautiful. I ordered my mod shop Jag this weekend. I went Charcoal Frost and black guard but I went back and forth between it and Sherwood. I’m with you on the American Pros. I would have jumped on that olive one they had if it just had the rosewood board. I also went with 62 pickups on my mod shop, haven’t heard much good about the V-mods.
