Oh boy, wait till you see what they did for the 50th. It was very not that.
Honestly they’re fine it just would have been so much better had they done the right inlays and trem placement and matching headstocks. Crossing my fingers in the hope that it’s something they do ever, let alone next year!

I think a Courtney Barnett one would be great (for a lot of reasons and I can see it happening), and the Oliver Ackerman one would be a nice nod to the underground (so long as it's heavily relic'd / falling apart).Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 10:48 pm- Courtney Barnett Signature

I'd be fine with the MBV models, on the sole condition that stay on-brand: announcement that the JM and Mustang were in the works, but they come out 25 years later (and are underwhelming).
Joking aside, I'd really like to see a Rowland S Howard jaguar.

That would be great. Fender has done posthumous signature guitars before ... Cobain jag for example. Rowland's jag is still accessible AFAIK, as are detailed pics ...cestlamort wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 3:41 pmJoking aside, I'd really like to see a Rowland S Howard jaguar.

"I just knew I wanted to make a sound that was the complete opposite of a Les Paul, and that’s pretty much a Jaguar." Rowland S. Howard.

Does this count?
MADE IN JAPAN TRADITIONAL 60S JAGUAR LIMITED RUN ANODIZED: https://shop.fender.com/ja-JP/electric- ... 00305.html
(You'll have to change your location to Japan to view the page.)
On a related note, they just announced the MIJ Hybrid II Jazzmaster and discontinued the Hybrid Jaguar.

Courtney Barnett uses a Cobain Jaguar refinished in CAR, no?cestlamort wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 3:41 pmI think a Courtney Barnett one would be great (for a lot of reasons and I can see it happening), and the Oliver Ackerman one would be a nice nod to the underground (so long as it's heavily relic'd / falling apart).Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 10:48 pm- Courtney Barnett Signature

What would her sig model be? It would be nice, if it wasn't just a repainted Cobain.

Yes, it's a Cobain Jag that Fender made for her in CAR.

Yes, I'd too like to know. Bound matching headstock (still no blocks but second best ) - still not sure if I like the gold anodized guards - but I have a black anodized one that would fit it sweetly...made for my Japanese Jaguar so I guess/hope it even would fit! Definitely a cool finding - thanks for sharing!mediocreplayer wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:24 amHa! Good find. Where/How does one buy these?kimson wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 11:41 pmDoes this count?

No idea. It's only available at Fender's Japanese web store and the Fender showroom in Osaka. I think I've read about Japanese "purchase service" businesses that can be hired to buy an item for you online and then ship it to you abroad, but that's all I know.

Here's a pic for those who don't want to mess with changing their Fender.com location to Japan

I'd like to see a new Jaguar with a Panorama vibrato, locking tuners, a rhythm circuit with the 2 pickups (more treble, more usable), colors like surf green, shell pink and daphne blue, a 3 way swith for the lead circuit, satin for the back of the neck.

Do we think there’s gonna be a 60th anniversary model in the next year?
