If nothing else we have just done the jobs of Fenders marketing and product design teams for 2022.
Fender, get on it! 90s range.

Do you guys have seen that Fender Delete the paranormal series from their Website!? I think that only the Offset telecaster still there, I dont know if this is good or bad but i expect that they release Classic Vibe/Contemporary versions of them...

The offset tele is the only one I see... Kind of interesting that they're gone!

All of them are still available on the belgian fender site, While on the american, its only the offset tele. Guess the paranormal line was indeed just a limited run.

It looked to me from the start as though the Paranormals were a Squier equivalent to the Fender Parallel Universe and Alternate Reality lines. Similar names, all basically one-year runs of non-standard stuff that they didn't want to make part of their regular product lines.manwithtitties wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:10 amAll of them are still available on the belgian fender site, While on the american, its only the offset tele. I'm fine with that, if it means that they'll keep making new and slightly more interesting models every year. Just means you have to jump on it while you can when they come out with something you like, which probably isn't a bad strategy for this type of stuff. People know they can drag their feet for 3 years and still get a strat or telecaster at whatever price point they want, but the PU/AR/Paranormal models are guaranteed to be slower sellers so maybe they're conditioning their customers to jump on them quickly by making them all limited runs.

Re: Squier 2021 line?
I've just noticed this picture on the Squier Paranormal Super-Sonic page on Fender.com. I've looked at that page dozens of times, but never really noticed this until now.
That looks like Shell pink if my eyes don't deceive me? The neck plate is unmistakably the one that's used exclusively on Super-Sonics. So I wonder if Fender originally considered that color for the PSS, or if this was just a prototype they painted together with a Cyclone for convenience...

Sadly the 2021 Squiers are still a fairy tale in Canada... I want the Contemporary Jaguar soooo bad but no one has them and no one knows when Squier will come through.

Theyre location based. I assume all of the paramormal stuff is out of stock on the us site, which is why the pages are unavailable, while only the cyclone and super sonic are still up on the belgian site.robroe wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 8:38 amThese links are broke AF now. Re: Squier 2021 line?
My local shop got in some of the new 2021 Affinities, the Tele Deluxe and the HSS Strat. Shockingly good instruments at that price. Lively, good fretwork, and decent nuts. The necks are satin but the headcap is gloss, and no mention of "Affinity Series" anywhere. The Indian Laurel looked nice. The bodies are still slightly thinner like they've always been.
I played them through a Fender Super Sonic 22. The humbuckers in the Tele Deluxe were good. Crisp and chimey and the neck wasn't mud. All three positions sounded great on the drive channel. You could just leave them in and be fine. The Strat HSS had the same humbucker. The single-coils sounded okay clean but got muddy with mild gain. Can't win 'em all. I forgot to divebomb the 2pt trem and see how out of tune it would get. Oh well, next time.
I'll have the shipping guy text me when they get in the JM and the Jag bass. No idea of ETA on those.

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

The BMM finish looks a bit dark, or is it just my screen?

The BMM is a little lighter, but not much. If you were in a store and saw it you'd know it was BMM.
