Post by JPCordingley » Fri Nov 13, 2020 1:03 am

What would everyone like to see next year?

I'll start. Am FSR CV Jag in Burgundy Mist.

I'm crossing my fingers for the XII to return as a CV, like how the Starcaster went from Fender to Squier. That'd be a guaranteed buy, my efforts to downsize notwithstanding.

If it comes in some cool colours I'm all for that but I'll settle for sunburst or OLY.

A XII would be amazing. And of course I'd have to have one. I just hope they do them as a mainstay in the CV line rather than a limited Paranormal series guitar.

Forgive my ignorance (plus couldn't find it on the acronym list..) what is OLY?

Edit - OK I am guessing now it's Olympic White rather than an acronym.. I was thinking it was "Old Lemon Yellow" or something :fp:

It's Olympic White all right. It tends to get shorted to either Oly White or just OLY. You never see OW or OLW for whatever reason.

As the other Squier thread(s) show, there's a pretty overwhelming desire for a Squier XII. Every year we get our hopes up; maybe next year....

All I need is a FSR CV Jag in the same metallic purple that they used for the FSR JMs, with a matching headstock of course. I'm not in the market for them, but they should do a Jag-stang and a XII as well as a factory "Jazz Blaster", maybe a comp stripe CV Mustang FSR too. I'd like to see more use of the great metallic colors like CFM, BMM, IBM, OTM, and Sherwood Green as well.

I have no idea what the actual demand for it would be but it'd be cool to see the Venus reissued in the CV or Paranormal series. I'm assuming there'd be more general interest in the 6 string version rather than the 12 but if they decide to come out with both (and a Squier XII of course) I wouldn't complain.

As I say every year, a Jag-stang.

Or a Fender one, I'm not fussy which. They did almost everything but a Jag-stang in 2020, maybe this will be the year...

MOAR JARMANS

Jarman somewhere in the US I can drive to buy. I really don't care at this point how far.

Reissue the squier Venus in shell pink like Courtney had in the celebrity skin video 20 years ago. Seems like a no brainier if the biggest influx of sales is from girls.

I got most the other stuff I really want already except the Jarman. I have a SFG venus so the pink one is mainly for a sales perspective.

Keep going with the paranormal series. Make a music master and duo sonic with proper toronado bridge plate on it.

Ooooh this too. Kicking myself for not getting a Jarman Mus-uar when I had the chance.

Others have suggested a Venus too... How cool would a "Weird Hybrids" series be?

- Jag-stang
- Mus-uar
- Venus

Anything else?
