Love the natural body with single ply black pickguard look!
The pickguard on these looks like a rat chewed it out of the plastic sheet.

My Vintera's pretty buzzy, but I'm not surprised because the shielding is pretty atrocious. It's getting copper tape next string change, because it's a bit much when I'm trying to record especially.

Yep, I'm thinking I'm going to take a dive one of these days and try to get to the bottom of it. As soon as I stop playing it sounds like aliens are landing in my recording studio

Where would I get a 3 way rotary switch like the one in the Ben Gibbard Mustang?

Anyone know if these have a forearm contour? It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like it's cut on the back but not the front.

I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a $1100 no-frills MIM Mustang even though I like the specs (forearm contour on a non-RI Mustang? Holy molly!). It's almost twice as expensive as the MIM Mustangs/Duo Sonics. The chambered ash doesn't feel "premium" without a colored finish and the rest is just artist quirks. So the huge markup comes almost entirely from the branding.

I paid $750 for a brand new MIA FSR Mustang Special just over a year ago, so maybe we'll see some of these discounted?

Do the 4Way Mod instead so you get series option too!

Actually, he likes a lot about it.

Wow I like that it seems you can easily mod it to a vibrato (they should include one!). Also, he doesn't seem to see it, but in the bag there IS a vibrato bar included!

I don't like the single ply black guard and would probably swap it (with the switch holes taped over/under) and put a chicken head selector on.

So by now, what's the consensus on these, these days.
I tried one at the MusicStore, terribly set up, like everything else there, so I didn't quite enjoy playing it.

But still...
Just curious.

I'm also curious because I keep seeing barely used ones on reverb for about 850 or so.
