Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
On this one I like the stock covers.
A parchment guard might match the stock covers. Did that with my VM Bass VI.
CV covers do look slightly whiter than the VM ones.

Can anyone confirm whether the pots on their CV Jaguar are split or solid shaft? Also, is the brand listed on the pot?

Do we have a consensus on what is the best fitting mint guard for one of these? I have a shell pink bb coming my way

I got a mint guard from Neagle luthier and it fits perfectly. I also ordered a parchment one from EYguitar music. I can’t confirm fit myself yet but others have reported a good fit. Mine is 9 lbs heavy, set up with TI flats, 1 degree shim, AVRI trem, and Staytrem collet, and it plays like butter. The stock Squier bridge is solid with no buzz for me! I also got a color matched headstock painted (with a logo that will bring criticism), which makes it play even better.
Congrats! Happy NGD!

Thank you so much!! Looks like he might be out of commission on Reverb. If you decide to sell one of your guards give me a shoutsciuri wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:38 pmI got a mint guard from Neagle luthier and it fits perfectly. Try checking Neagle again in a few weeks. I think he periodically takes down his store to take time off. His mint color looks great and is pretty close to my other Fender branded mint guards, so it’s worth the wait! The link below says he’s on vacation.

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
I just picked one up...unsure if I'll keep it. But overall it's a good guitar and just needs the usual TLC.
It (of course) came with 9s on it.
And I am wondering if anyone has successfully set up a Jaguar with 9s and was able to eliminate the fret buzz and over all floppiness (especially on the low E).

If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Hey just wanna voice support for T Neagle he does great work! He cuts custom stuff for any pickup route you can think of, makes accommodations for any kinda wacky holes you might need a thing to include, just awesome and beyond reasonable price wise, especially if you need the custom routing done it’s like second to no one. I’ll rep his shit till the day I die
