Anyone use these?

These look like they might be a combination of Dunlop & Schaller designs, which someone was asking for above. Made by "Zeppelinn:"

How does the Grolsch style bottle cap rubbers work? I have literally hundreds of those from homebrewing.

i also was informed once that the dunlop buttons, that are provided with their straplock system, are actually bigger than schallers or even stock button ends, and therefore the strap is less likely to come off of the button during use.

Yes but the phonograph was born the same year and we all know that Thomas Edison rocked out with his cock out!northern_dirt wrote:Punk died in 1878Surfoverb wrote:

I have Schallers on my Jaguar. Meh, they're OK. Reassuring click etc. But there's quite a length of strap button before the strap itself starts, which surely = more leverage on the screw and screw-hole? Can't be great.
All my other guitars, I use those Planet Waves straps with locking ends. They're pretty good so far, although one broke on me once. And at least I don't have to do anything to my guitar to fit them.

Damn straplocks are a pain in the ass. I have some that look like Europats but I like the
Zepplins. However if you read the reviews on Musician's Friend, they do have problems.

And a good thing too. I just got my LP Custom back together an hour ago after a long time of being disassembled. Had the strap on, walked into the bedroom to show Nicole and guess what? Yep. Strap came off. I caught it with my left hand.luau wrote:Done.PorkyPrimeCut wrote:Touch wood!!

Re: Strap Locks VS Washers. Discuss......
I'm in a real dilemma over how to attach any kind of strap to my ES-125 (see other thread too).
I'm looking at the possibility of using cavity screws that have the expanding brace.
I've got the old strap buttons that were on my JM when I bought it many moons ago. They'd look great on the Gibson. I'm also gonna drill a hole so I can add a strap button to the heel....gulp...I've thought about it long & hard. I love this damn guitar & am unlikely to sell it. If I do its hardly gonna affect the price much. I hate straps that attach at the neck. They just get in the way!!
Oh & on the subject of the thread. If I can fit a washer in with the cavity screw I'll be happy!!
Just like Luau, I rarely let go of the neck - I'll be doing all the Thurston shit on the JM.

Re: Strap Locks VS Washers. Discuss......
I'm in a similar pickle with my 175. I wish they'd just put strap buttons, and the block it would take to screw into, on these in the same place they do on 335s. Seems like quite a few of them got them in the heel afterwards. That wouldn't decrease the value much I don't think. In some ways it would be a relief to have one already done and I'm sure there are others that feel the same way.
