Did it come with a Gotoh bridge?
Had bad experience with MIC copys.
I think it’s a copy, the screws look different.
I see two differences between the Gotoh and the XII bridge.

One, the intonation screw springs are black on the XII bridge, chrome/silver on the Gotoh.
Two, the saddle ridge for the outer course of strings looks thicker on the Gotoh bridge. On the XII bridge, the saddle rounds off and is thinner. I'd have to see the two bridges in front of me to make absolutely sure.

I'm curious if anyone else is considering modding one of these to get it closer to the original XII?

I understand the pickup cavities need to be routed a little deeper to accomodate Curtis Novak's XII pickups.

For the pickguard, there's a pretty good chance one could fit the WD Alternate Reality guard, but you're looking at filling the existing holes and drilling new ones. The tough part would likely be getting the Faction Guitars XII control plate to fit with the guard.

And then there's changing the toggle switch to the selector - shouldn't be a big deal.

I have done this with Squier affinitty hardtails..
Heres one with a custom made pickguard

Needed to grind pup routs out a little at the sides to accomodate ARXII pups. Poss need to deepen aswell for novaks.

If the routing is the same as squier AF jazz it is a bit of a challenge, ARXII guard did not cover the routing leaving about 1mm exposed on lower horn.
I used a fat dowel and filler to rectify and got body resprayed.
Also there is no wood for a couple of the xii pup screws so more wood needs adding, i used dowel/epoxy.

Faction control plate will "not" fit jazzmaster rout.. Ive done about half a dozen of these and all needed custom made control plates,
If going with a XII style plate you will need to remove wood from the jack end due to extra length. Also need to remove wood to get FS pots in there due to re positioning.

These having the same routing as AF Jazzy is just an informed guess but it would have to be drasically different not to throw up similar challenges to those ive experienced.

Good luck, Cant wait to see the 1st Vintageefied Squier paranormal XII :)
What an amazing guitar!!! What kind of neck is this?

Thank you

I think all of the models were only made for 1 or 2 years previously. So slightly kinda?

I just ordered the last polished bridge surrounding plate from Faction Guitars. They now only have brushed ones. Hurry while they last.
I'm quite sure they'll make some more in the near future if this model sells well.

Let us know if it fits. Some people think it will, some people think it won't.

Should fit if the bridge pickup is tightened deep into the body. But the pickguard will have to be reworked. I just can't deal with this Gotoh bridge on its own... Moving the bridge pickup won't be a big deal if necessary (but will need a new pickguard).

The guitar will be long to be delivered... Ordered at Thomann's. 13 to 17 week...

For anyone wondering, you will have to get a custom pickguard for it if you want to change it. I was hoping a American Performer pickguard to fit, but the bridge pickup is closer to the bridge on the Performer.

Does anyone know, where I can find an Electric XII with original vintage shape (trussrod access at the heel) and 9,5 Radius in Europe? Buying frim the US is pretty expensive because of fees and taxes...

How about these necks?

Do you think that the headstock shape is original?
How about the quality?

Just got mine in the mail. Can anyone verify if their volume only starts to really work around 7 or 8 o'clock? Did they use linear pots for the volume?
So far I really like this thing. The tuning is stable, the neck doesn't feel cheap, frets are good. I kind of want the white one, too.

EDIT: Just read through this thread and there's a Fiesta red?!? Jeeeez...gonna have to get that one, too. That Strat/tele thing in fiesta red looks cool, too.
