Yessssss, there are the extra colors now on the USA Fender site. Thank you forestgreen.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

The Blue is by far the best looking color. I just happened to have built a XII in this exact color about 11 years ago, right before Fender started various re-issues.

Just called my internet guy on the Fiesta Red XII .... It's not on their system, but since it's on the Fender website I'm pretty confident they'll be available .... Thanks for sharing the link.

Damn…they got me too. I was waiting on the sidelines until the fiesta red was official. I bought the damn rascal in Sherwood green as well, they really got my number this round.

I've been watching as many online review videos of the Rascal bass as I can find and while most seem pretty upbeat on build quality, it looks like the pickups may be a deal breaker. I'm seeing commentary about hollow and dark output and that's kind of a bummer since it looks swapping them would be pretty challenging. It's always tough to determine how a bass you haven't handled will fit into your style, but I'm guessing this one won't work for me. It's a minor relief I guess, bass looks cool but I really don't need another one!

I was wondering - but Maybe Fender is keeping the additional colors as a fender.com option only?
They are listed as in stock. I ordered the Fiesta XII yesterday and no issues with the order but I dont see any updates yet. 1st time ordering direct so not sure what their usual process is

Alright, you've won me over. Gonna get this bass and get active EMGs in at some point!
