I really don't know what the pickups look like in the most recent Traditional. I've seen v-mod (strat) style ones in them in recent years, but maybe they've changed. Maybe someone with a 2023 or 2024 model can chime in.

I have a 2023 one ("late '60 jazzmaster"). It has a basswood body, but that doesn't bother me. But proper VMOD pickups, CTS pots, Switchkraft jacks & switches, a real tortoise pickguard and a very beautiful quartersawn maple neck. Workmanship is absolutely impeccable, and it sounds/plays really well.
