I bought one and I intend to keep it. I do quite like it but I must say, compared to my Kinko FSR Jaguar, it feels heavy.

Oh nice!
I still have my CFM Jag, got new pickups (65ers) but haven't gotten around to installing them. The originals were too squealy.

Yes, it’s a silver adonized aluminum pickguard …
I love how it looks on that silver sparkle …

I need to take and upload more photo but yes, the video posted above is me and that guitar ;-)

I played a CFM one the other week and aside from the pickups being a bit bland, it was decent!

I did, it's my first Jaguar.

While a very good guitar in general, I'm constantly fighting its sound. It's bright sounding but in a kind of a muddy harsh unappealing way. It might be the setup, the pickups, the electronics, my amp or all of it, not sure yet.

Either way, with a great body and neck it is an ideal test subject for upgrading and modding so I'm gonna keep it and work on it until it sounds right.

BTW, mine has a figuring pattern on the fretboard and I've been told it's rare for a laurel board to have this, is that true or are other Jags from this series also like this?

I wish they were offered in Canada. I would have 100% bought a Charcoal Frost one.
Det er mig der holder traeerne sammen.

Congrats! Oof, I have to say I like the sound of mine. But, I'm running 10-48 flats on it. What strings are you using? Testing "Louis XVI" the other day with the OG stock 9s was pretty painful, for sure.
Thanks! Using Ernie Ball 11-48 but I don't think my problems are string gauge related as I went from 9s to 10s to 11s and it hasn't changed. I think more than anything it needs a proper setup before I judge the other components and I did fix some things, currently waiting for shims to arrive. Definitively a long term project.

Oh wow! No, neither of mine do! One of the (several) reasons I like the neck so much I bought a second is because the flat, dark, neutral wood suits my tastes - more than say the redder, striated rosewood on my Jagmasters. But if I had a fretboard like that I'd definitely find it appealing!
Interesting, so I guess it's more of an accident kinda thing rather than a feature on these.
