Considering how blown out looking the pearl is I'm going to guess that the lights were set to "Solar Flare".Surfysonic wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 10:08 amI guess it's the lighting but wow, that's a really bright yellow finish compared to the more subdued yellow/orange ones I've seen on Reverb in-shop photos.marginwalker wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 9:43 amhttps://reverb.com/item/73705387-fender ... t=73705387
Here’s a B-stock comp orange mustang bass for $847 for anyone interested
Here's one that seems the norm?

Finally, properly vintage spec Mustangs and Mustang Basses in period correct colours. Was that too much to ask?

Ha! I didn't even notice the pearloid guard in the first one - I think my retinas got burned out.GilmourD wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 12:09 pmConsidering how blown out looking the pearl is I'm going to guess that the lights were set to "Solar Flare".Surfysonic wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 10:08 amI guess it's the lighting but wow, that's a really bright yellow finish compared to the more subdued yellow/orange ones I've seen on Reverb in-shop photos.marginwalker wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 9:43 amhttps://reverb.com/item/73705387-fender ... t=73705387

That is a smokingly awesome colour! Looked online for other pics and I see now what they did.
Are the pots the mini alpha type or full size CTS? Anyone know?

Well they messed up the stripes but the rest is decent.Powdered Toast Man wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 12:10 pmFinally, properly vintage spec Mustangs and Mustang Basses in period correct colours. Was that too much to ask?

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
The Vintera stuff has always been vintage semi-accurate, so the only inaccuracy with pots is probably the '50s stuff that originally used Stackpole pots.
MIM stuff almost always used CTS pots, even back in the '90s on the standards.

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
It's heeeeeeere!
Beautiful! Stunning competition burst.
Happy to report the neck is about average front to back depth and a bit wider side to side. Very comfortable with it - total keeper.
Strings are definitely 10s and feel fine. When I wear them out, I'll put on some D'Addario 11s. Nice that Fender moved away from stock 9s finally.
Pickups sound really good. Eventually, I might get some sort of hum-cancelling pickups but for now, they're fine. I don't even care about not having a matching headstock. Maybe I'll get it done down the road if it ends up bothering me. For now, I'm good. I love the comp stripe as is, too.
I was so excited to play it that I forgot to put the tremolo bar on. Sorted. Tremolo bar and 3 different sized Allen Wrenches are in with the printed material so don't toss them. For anyone not familiar with Mustangs, you're going to have to use the medium Allen wrench provided to loosen the screw on the side of the cigar that holds the tremolo bar in place to fit the tremolo bar fully. Then tighten as necessary. Hang on to your Allen wrenches.
Forgot to take off the plastic on pickguard and pickups...

Actually, according to the data sheets, I'd seen the Jags are shipping with 10ers but the Stangs still with 9ers... it's what i read!

Thanks, Pacafeliz! Yeah, these are definitely 10s - I guess the brick & mortar store I bought it from on Reverb did a set up with 10s before shipping it out to me.
You're totally right, though - I see in the Specs section on Fender's site that these do come with 9s.

Not sure if previously mentioned but I notice the stripes are fatter and are at a steeper angle covering more of the body. Weird fender wouldn’t do vintage correct.

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
Yeah kinda sad but i guess it's the point in calling it Vintera instead of vintage reissue
