Two and a Half NGDs...
Two offsets and a half non-offset (body)...care to take a guess?
Hints:
1) I've never owned one of these brand line models before...(this is the non-offset)...
2) I've never owned one of the these offsets before...but I have another guitar with same finish and from the same brand line...
3) I have owned one of these offset models with same color and pickup configuration...I modified the previous one with altogether decidedly different pickups not usually associated with this offset. I'm leaving this one alone (for now)...some minor aesthetic mods already done as will be shown...

4) The two full guitars are Fenders and the non-offset body is a Squier line I've never owned.
5) One of the Fenders is from the Player series.
6) The other Fender is from the Player Plus series.

Wait a minute...I was refraining from guessing due to having an unfair advantage....except I don't think I have anything to do with these!!Surfysonic wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 5:18 am4) The two full guitars are Fenders and the non-offset body is a Squier line I've never owned.

Is one of them a Player Plus Meteora?

Yeah, sorry, Mike - I thought this might confuse you re: our recent trade. That's a future NGDx2 post.

Woo-hoo, nailed it on the first attempt! I love that colour on it, too. How do you like it?
Is the other one a Player Jazzmaster?

I love the Belair Blue! I wish they'd do it on a Jag, Jazzmaster, or Mustang. Loving it! The pickups are nice and clear and the coil split is pretty decent, too. No problem with the 12" radius and slim C shape, especially playing while standing. Haven't had time to play while sitting yet (this is usually when I prefer thicker necks for some reason).
Nope, the other one is not a Player Jazzmaster. A photo hint has been provided in this thread...
Gotta run out to pick up a refill prescription for one of my beasties, be back soon!

Ah, so a Player Mustang then?
The new faded/two tone finishes on the Player Plus guitars can be really striking. I saw one of the Teles listed locally and was shocked by how perfectly it matched the pickguard and pickups:
Something about the way the top half goes white - black - chrome and the bottom goes black - chrome - black tickles my brain in all the right ways.

Yup! Got another burgundy mist Mustang 90 - currently leaving in the stock pickups and going with white plastics. Found some aged white mustang knobs (unfortunately, a little smaller than the stock black ones, but hey). The selector switch tip is also aged white. I haven't been able to locate aged white P90 pickup covers. There's plenty of cream ones, though. I kind of like the bright white contrast with the mint pickguard.
Yeah, that Tele with the Silver Smoke finish is gorgeous.Embenny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 7:05 amThe new faded/two tone finishes on the Player Plus guitars can be really striking. I saw one of the Teles listed locally and was shocked by how perfectly it matched the pickguard and pickups:

(7) The Squier body may or may not have a burgundy mist finish...
(8) Also, this guitar body may be one that HNB would like...
(9) I paired it up with a Squier Paranormal Offset neck I had lying around...

Re: Two and a Half NGDs...
Yahtzee! Yup, I got a used Squier Affinity Tele Deluxe body on the cheap via Reverb. I've had this Squier Paranormal Offset Tele neck from my first disastrous pickup routing modding effort. Glad to put it to use as it's a decent neck.
I had contemplated getting a set of Gretsch Filter'Trons or other Gretsch pickups of some sort to swap out the stock pickups. However, the stock pickups sound really great - very clear and articulate. Also loving the thinner body and belly cut (huzzah!!).
Here are all the new acquisitions...
I'm going to have a bit of a gear purge soon to fund a dream guitar purchase this summer after Emma's second knee surgery. Going to have to make some painful choices in the days ahead. Nothing is safe...
