Tom Delonge Signature Starcaster
Never thought I’d put those words together in a sentence.
Guess he’s done with Gibson after the last To the Stars Strat giveaway.
Curious if it’ll be for sale as a new signature line.

i've got a friend who's a big blink fan so now i'm gonna be expecting questions about starcasters and half the bands on that guitar so they can make a replica

I thought he hadn’t been in Blink 182 for years and years now?
I’m so confused.

I'm interested to see if this (or a version of it) gets released any time soon. Might be cool as a Squier, but not so sure at a Fender price point.

“Hi, Tom. This is Joe Schmoe from the Fender Custom Shop. Thoughts on the sticker selection and placement in this round of mockups? We feel like these make a strong punk cred statement without seeming like they’re trying too hard. Anyway, please call me back as soon as you can. We want to start the relicing process on these stickers right away.”

He’s been a fan for years as far as I know, he’s talked about those bands for more than 20 years at least.seenoevil II wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 5:57 pmLol. When the hell did any of those chodes listen to Fugazi or SLF. All the way in middle age he's gonna larp a a punk with good taste.
Yeah if this even ever gets to production, I wonder what the price point will be. Can’t see a lot of people wanting to pay for these what they’d pay for a Troy van Leeuwen or Jason Isbell signature.Stephen_42 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 2:55 pmHe rejoined them a couple of months ago.sal paradise wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 2:46 pmI thought he hadn’t been in Blink 182 for years and years now?

Didn't he once call Ian MacKaye an idiot for not charging more for tickets?Steadyriot. wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 6:16 pmHe’s been a fan for years as far as I know, he’s talked about those bands for more than 20 years at least.seenoevil II wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 5:57 pmLol. Re: Tom Delonge Signature Starcaster
i've got a friend who's a blink 182 mega fan but my understanding is he started off with a lot of the ramonescore punk bands (the queers, screeching weasel) which inspired him to start his own punk band and in the early days of blink, they played a few shows with some of the other san diego punk bands at the time (drive like jehu being the big one) and apparently one of the dudes from jehu got him to look into bands like fugazi. apparently tom is a big fan of Walter Schreifels and all of his projects.
p.s. ya'll dunno what blink superfans are like. they're willing to spend $1200 to see tom in blink.

Can’t deny I bought tickets (though I sure as hell didn’t and wouldn’t spend €1200; holy shit).s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 1:24 ami've got a friend who's a blink 182 mega fan but my understanding is he started off with a lot of the ramonescore punk bands (the queers, screeching weasel) which inspired him to start his own punk band and in the early days of blink, they played a few shows with some of the other san diego punk bands at the time (drive like jehu being the big one) and apparently one of the dudes from jehu got him to look into bands like fugazi. apparently tom is a big fan of Walter Schreifels and all of his projects.
