Jazzmaster pickups in HB form
Does anyone make a Jazzmaster pickup in a HB sized shell that could be dropped into a HB rout?

Your quest is understandable. Also near-impossible, given the different form-factors.
The closest I ever managed to get was with a set of Buddha Pickups. Pretty sure he'll still give it a go if you contact him through Reverb. They probably lay somewhere between a JM and a P90 pup... and they don't have covers (which I thought looked cool anyway), but as their own "thing" they're pretty damned good, unique-sounding single-coils. Fwiw, I stuck to 1m pots with mine.
They're the ones in the Sheraton.
Godspeed.

I would contact Marc at Mojo Pickups in the UK. If anyone could do something like that properly he could.

I would check with Tim Esau at Sunday Handwound. He's usually up for a custom wind. A few winders do a P90 style in a humbucker form factor, and I would think that could be done with rod magnets. I imagine the key limitation would be the wide, flat coil of a JM pickup, so there's likely some necessary compromise or compensation there.

Fralin Alnico Pole P90's are basically a jazzmaster pickup in humbucker form. https://www.fralinpickups.com/product/a ... humbucker/
Bootstrap Skookum are also the basically a humbucker shaped jazzmaster pickup, despite their description as a p90 style pickup.

Yeah, I had these for a while and they were roughly in the sonic ballpark. YMMV. An HB-sized single-coil with Alnico pole pieces. You can have Alnico 2,3, or 5. I had A5. USA handwound and $60 for a set so totally worth trying.Lost In Autumn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 5:33 amBootstrap Skookum are also the basically a humbucker shaped jazzmaster pickup, despite their description as a p90 style pickup.

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Thanks everyone. What I was looking for was an easy way to put Jazzmaster-ish pickups in an HH Jaguar (which I do not yet have). Just looking for options.

That yr Coronado? Was it a custom body? Never seen one with a straight offset trem in it and it’s sexy as hellparry wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 12:07 pmYour quest is understandable. Also near-impossible, given the different form-factors.

I thought that was only $60 a piece but for a set is bonkers holy shit I don’t think you can find a better dealvistavision wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:32 amYeah, I had these for a while and they were roughly in the sonic ballpark. Re: Jazzmaster pickups in HB form
they're a great value for the money, but I'm not sure I'd place them in the same category as Fralin, Novak or Lollar; more like better than GFS.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:14 pmI thought that was only $60 a piece but for a set is bonkers holy shit I don’t think you can find a better dealvistavision wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:32 amYeah, I had these for a while and they were roughly in the sonic ballpark. Would it be possible and easier to just get a Jazzmaster and put a short scale neck on it?
And I will be the one to hold Larry Csonka down, kiss him so hard, I'll take Larry Csonka's breath away...

I'd say more in line with Duncan or Dimarzio than just above GFS. I have a set in my Tele (Palo Duro bridge / Pretzel neck) and they sound ridiculous. Clear, crisp, chimey. The best middle position I've ever heard. The construction of these is great too, they don't seem to skimp. Cloth wire, etc...Lost In Autumn wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 3:00 amthey're a great value for the money, but I'm not sure I'd place them in the same category as Fralin, Novak or Lollar; more like better than GFS.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:14 pmI thought that was only $60 a piece but for a set is bonkers holy shit I don’t think you can find a better dealvistavision wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:32 am

Re: Jazzmaster pickups in HB form
I have an MIJ Jagmaster with their Vintage Clean HB's and they are my favorite humbucker. Not overly bass-y and crisp top end. I also have a partscaster with their Sun City Select Strat pickups. Easily matches Fender's offerings.Jonesie wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 7:00 amI'd say more in line with Duncan or Dimarzio than just above GFS. I think that I would have problems with the fixed bridge not accommodating the 24" scale. I could put a 24.75" conversion neck on if I wanted to go that way.BarnyardCoral wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 6:47 amWould it be possible and easier to just get a Jazzmaster and put a short scale neck on it?
