Competition Bullet Mustang in Sherwood Green

Just saw this on Andertons. It's not really my thing but hopefully it's the start of a Sherwood green comeback.

I really wish they did things like this when I was looking for my first guitar. That's awesome, and Sherwood Green is the best colour Fender do. Being super pedantic, I think Surf / Seafoam Green stripes would have looked even better, but it's still super cool.

The Bullet Mustang feels like a modern version of what the original Mustang was designed as - it's pretty much the ideal entry level student model.

That's so rad for the price. I wish it had a matching headstock and the stripe was surf green, but I've never met a guitar I didn't want to customize.

Is it Anderton's only? Would love to get my hands on one in Canada.

The graffiti yellow one looks fun in a very obnoxious way too

Oh for fuck's sake.
I don't need another guitar, let alone a hardtail one, but I've got terminal GAS for both the Sherwood Green and the Graffiti Yellow :fp:

So rad! I already have a pink one that's get no use, but when I was a 14 year old punkrock fanatic, you bet I would have been all over this!

The middle stripe on the green one looks too fat?

Is it me?

The yellow lone looks correct tho.....

Although.....it would be a great platform to build your own Casey James Prestwood custom shop model.

On all the Squier Competition Mustangs they've done, the stripes seem a bit too fat / a bit too far to the left. I think the Green is a worse example of this, but for the price I wouldn't complain.

Damn, although that Sherwood isn't my ideal shade, it's gorgeous. The bumblebee yellow-and-black one is great, too.

Really, everyone wins when they release interesting colours. I love my Imperial Blue bullet, but if I didn't have one, I'd gladly flip a coin and take either of these. I'd be inclined toward the yellow because mine has a Jaguar neck with black headstock on it currently, and I think that'd look perfect with the black stripes and pickguard.

These are kinda cool - especially for the price, but an offset with humbuckers and no trem is not exactly for me. Might be a fun little "project guitar" though. I'm sure many folks will really like them!

I love Sherwood Green but Squier's shade of it seems too light to my eye (just like the CV Strats with matching headstocks they had a few years back). Also, there seems to be a difference in stripe width and spacing between the green and yellow ones posted above.

The great thing about them is that they've got swimming pool routs.

It makes it easy to take certain liberties with mods.
