Fender should bring back the 62 RI

Post by jwlee » Mon Jun 21, 2021 1:39 am

I love how Fender treat offsets better than the past,

but I think they should release 62 RI JM and Jags again with different colors.

60s Original is a good guitar, but pearl dot inlays and bindings are not my cup of tea..

at least they should release some different colors for it like LPB or CAR

Fender could offer any number of combinations of 62, 65 or whatever model Jag & JM Models thru their Mod Shop. In all the cool 50’s GM Colors…. Including Thinline versions… Now that would be interesting! 8)

Saw it, but I'm not in the state so it's hard to buy guitar with international shipping..
But that fiesta red is so nice...

This is my Dave's '62 with mods (Lollar pickups, Mastery bridge, Spitfire tort guard).

Agreed! I’m in the market for a AO-level Jaguar, and would buy a ‘62 reissue in a heartbeat. Binding is nice, but I prefer my offsets without.

Totally agree (although I'd take binding if everything else was the same). I'm basically looking for something like the Thin Skin Jags -- mute, matching headstock, made in US. The AO might do the trick, but for whatever reason it doesn't seem like "the one", although I'm not exactly sure why.
