Billy Boy guitars, handmade italian offsets(?)

Post by monark » Sat Nov 03, 2007 10:44 pm

Is that 10º offset, does it count? I can't tell. Anyway I stumbled across this guy's site from a comment he left on spiritualized's myspace page, I kinda dig these things:

They're pretty cool. I'd play one.

I reckon a Bigsby would be better than the skull, though.

Pretty cool, probably not my style. A bit bulbous. Is that a skull trem on the last one?
Times change.  Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky?  Now it grows hair!  We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Yes, the skull is a particoular trem design that's on the process of getting a patent..he's not so far from where I live, I know he's growing a lot, and lot of people are interested now..I personally don't like the shape but for what has been told me they are great instruments and they're customizable at 100%.
Architecture students are like virgins with an itch they cannot scratch,  never build a building 'till are fifty, what kind of life is that?

+1 on the Bigsby suggestion.

I'm not massively keen on the shape either but I love the retro look of the control plate, pickguard etc....

The skull kinda ruins it for me.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I second that! Get that bigsby on! I do like the design/shape of it though (apart from the skull).
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

They look cool, but the headstock bothers me a bit.

I'm about to buy that black one.  They don't bother me... the skull I mean.  It did at first but in certain color combos it fits... has a total 50's feel to it, and that pickup configuration is going to rule!
