Imgur threw a spanner in the works in mid May when it started deleting non-account images ...

I had missed the announcement in April and subsequently found that a lot of my images (which I had stored as browser bookmarks) were coming up as 404 errors when I checked them in early June. I then created a (free) account and transferred the minority of still-intact images to that. Fortunately I had kept all the JPGs on my PC, so rebuilding is mainly just a big nuisance (along with posted images disappearing).
But then in the last few weeks I have noticed that all of the 404 errors for my original non-account images are back to showing my original images. In any case I'm now moving them across to the account too, just in case they disappear again.
