Quoting a previous post question

Post by Bradley-Jazz » Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:43 am

Hi all

Sorry if this is a really daft question. I know there is the quote function when composing a post, and when I use it, I paste in the relevant text from above and it appears in quotes. But it is just the text I post in.

However, I've noticed that some users quote giving the name of the OP and a little arrow pointing up to the post in question - like this:
https://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vi ... 3#p1637946

How do you do that?

Thanks!

Just hit the quote button beside your user profile icon. It automatically pops up the post field and quotes the previous user. :)
