Being No. 36, I think I'm really one of the first "non-expats" to have joined.... I had seen the link to this site on another in-famous board and registered a couple of days later....zhivago wrote: just thinking over to the first month of operation here....it was such an exciting time...here's the first 30 names registered:

Expatriate, meaning one who has taken up residence in a foreign country, or renounced one's native land.spook wrote: Pray tell... What is an Expat? I know it means ex-patriarch in british imperialisim but what does it mean here?

The FDP (Fender Discussion Page) had a Jazzmaster/Jaguar sub-forum we used to post at...we would call it Area 51 sometimes

Re: What's my number?
It was Area 25 actually no? It is now anyways. Regardless, the "area XX" referred to the URL for that part of the forum as you can see below.

Re: What's my number?
I registered at FDP but don't you have to donate or something to post there? So I said the hell with it and never bothered with forums until I found OSG.

You don't have to pay to post... but you're pretty much hassled and/or ignored if you don't pay.JazzBlaster wrote: I registered at FDP but don't you have to donate or something to post there? So I said the hell with it and never bothered with forums until I found OSG.
