I knew that.

I just got confused because 3 people in a row said their post rank and he asked who is number one so I assumed he was referring to that.

Being No. 36, I think  I'm really one of the first "non-expats" to have joined.... I had seen the link to this site on another in-famous board and registered a couple of days later....    :)

Pray tell... What is an Expat? I know it means ex-patriarch in british imperialisim but what does it mean here?

You are one of the first .. chrisjedijane was the first non-FDPer.

Expatriate, meaning one who has taken up residence in a foreign country, or renounced one's native land.

Basically a bunch of guys on another forum were being marginalized, thought they could do it better themselves, and here we are.

The FDP (Fender Discussion Page) had a Jazzmaster/Jaguar sub-forum we used to post at...we would call it Area 51 sometimes

I registered at FDP but don't you have to donate or something to post there? So I said the hell  with it and never bothered with forums until I found OSG.

You don't have to pay to post... but you're pretty much hassled and/or ignored if you don't pay.

Their idea of "contribution" is much different from ours.      ;D
