I booted the server again last night and this morning I've made some adjustments that'll help mitigate a DDOS attack, if that is what is occurring. I've got more work to do on that end but won't be able to get to it until later tonight or tomorrow.

It's running well for me atm.

Around Weds or Thrs, (or maybe even sooner) the site began responding normally. I didn't even realize at first that it had normalized. Thank you Mods for whatever the heck you did!
