Dudes, I want to build a bassman.  The best part would be that it's tax deductable. mwuhahahahahahha!
I prefer their older stuff.

What is a good place to get amp kits? Mojotone looks good but don't know the quality of the kits, Weber looked good but I've read that the parts quality isn't great...

The answer to that question depends on what sort of amp you want to build exactly. They both have some pro's and cons IMO and there are many other alternatives as well.

I built a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe clone from Mission Amps.
I had never built anything like that before and it turned out great - one of the best amps I've ever owned.
Bruce provides excellent customer service on top of a kit that is loaded with top-notch parts.

Highly recommended!

Well I was looking at Mojo's Deluxe Reverb Kit. I'm looking for a lowish wattage amp with a 12" speaker. I like the idea of building it myself and I don't want to have to keep searching ebay to find a early SF at a good price.

But then again I don't really have the money to buy one of these kits right now anyways... but I can dream...
