Oh My GAWD!... :-* :-* :-*

That is going to be one good looking VI!
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Brian,
Mike Forrester here. It's great to see the VI coming together. The tortoise guard looks killer. Please be sure to send me some nice hi-res pics when all has been assembled, and I'll add them to my album.

Have a good one,
Mike

.....oh, and guys, Brian has the patience of a saint. It took me a LONG time to wrap this up for him, but I think the results were worth it. No short-cutting this one!

I can definitely vouch for Mike's work at Forrester Kustoms. He's an ARTIST, and has taken on some projects that would leave a lot of decent luthiers sweating it out.

Really masterful work. If I want something done right, I'll give Mike the call any time.

After almost 5 years on this project it's finally seeing the light of day. Long story short, during initial assembly I dinged an area on the back of the bass and was no heartbroken I put the bass in the closet and forgot about it. Add being plenty busy with photography, publishing a book, having a baby, etc... and time has been pretty thin the last few years.
Today I finally got around to the final setup on this. Cut the bone nut, a rough setup and a few hours of trying to work out the odd electrical that is the 62 VI. Must be very rusty, I keep having issues wiring the pups to the switches and grounding the braided wire leads.

Some teaser pictures, I'll be sure to make some good ones and post them soon.

Thanks all. Will get some detailed pics/info for the library Sook.
In the meantime, can one of you with a 62 send any pictures or info for the proper wiring of the 3 way switch? Most importantly where are the braided shields from the pickup leads grounded?
