Refin suggestions

Post by fendermcfenderface1! » Sun Jun 23, 2024 7:36 pm

Looking for a recommendation for where / who to send an old Jaguar body to for a quality nitro paint job. Guitar has a crappy DIY white paint job at present. Glad they left the neck alone. Thinking something vintage-ish like Fiesta Red, though it does look kinda like tomato soup. I'm in NM.
Thanks!

Check here:

Feelgoodguitars

According to their website, they seem to do great work and have good prices.

Their stuff looks good and looks like they have knowledge of offsets/odd Fender colors/details.

Copacetic has probably refinished a dozen things for me by now. Guy is cool as hell and does fantastic work.

I had Dustin at BloomDoom paint a body for me earlier this year and it could not have gone any smoother.

Guitarmill (Mario Martin)
Wilkinsguitars
Great lake custom colors
MJT
Copaceticcustoms(feelgood guitar)

The solid color should be around $300-400. DIY is always an option.

The name already sounds like an expensive job. :w00t:

I'm a firm believer in "buy once, cry once" :D

...joking aside, I only suggested him since it is a vintage guitar. :)

Guitar mill no longer does refins. I asked more than once last year, no luck.

Riggio quoted me $900 last year and it was extra if I wanted him to use NOS paint (he scored a ton of old 60s paint that is still good).

There’s a place in Whittier CA called Bravo Guitars that’s doing some great work.

Hmm when I emailed them a few month ago for my project. They gave a quote.

HUH! This is great news. I just checked my emails with Shannon, this was back in December 2022 so I should email them again. She was pretty sure they'd never do it again so yay!
