Looking forward to this restoration. The thinline ideas was brilliant IMHO, But it's gonna be a killer guitar any way it goes.

The thinline idea was just a joke tbh. Would be something fun to try on a messed up Squier... But this one deserves to be properly restored.

Awesome and super fun project. I’m jealous as I also a fan of ‘bring ‘em back from the dead’ guitars.
Back to Sunburst or a Custom Color? Inca Silver would look nice with that pickguard.

If everything goes according to plan, it will be back to sunburst. My luthier is the best that there is, and he does great sunburst finishes. He has done a 1963 Jazzmaster that looks fabulous.

No, just a really thin veneer on part of it, to repair the grooved in Fender name..

I'd vote for a metallic black with matching headstock and keep the routing of the body with a light silver burst in the recess.

The body is repaired and sunburst already. Neck is done as original.RavenCrest wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 8:54 pmI'd vote for a metallic black with matching headstock and keep the routing of the body with a light silver burst in the recess.
