Yamaha SG3 Frets?

Going to refret my SG3, any ideas on what fret wire to use?

Fretwire is described in mm or inches but also in descriptive terms.

The original frets are small so you could start looking at "vintage" sizes.

Within reason you have the option to spec any fretwire you want - do you own any other guitars that have a fret size/profile that you really like?

I went ahead and got some vintage fender frets. nice and thin. I was mainly trying to find frets that wouldn't need tang trimming.

An odd thing about old Yamahas that has been brought up in a restoration thread is the the tang is more narrow than usual, so you may need to widen the fret slots a bit.
