Love this. Great story, great ending and heartwarming. Posts like this are why OSG is the best.

Great restoration! Makes me want to refinish my Squier CV in Daphne Blue... I've always liked that more than Sonic Blue.
Exactly the same here.
And the same for me with my sonic blue Squier VM Mustang. Love Daphne blue.

That looks great, it’s always nice to see a vintage piece kept vintage and not destroyed by tasteless mods. Lucky the finish was restored and now you have a family heirloom.

I’ve never seen a rosewood board look as nasty as that :k I’m so glad it could be saved

The white undercoat is a great touch too, it should wear in a similar way to the original finish now

Talk about an amazing job on the restoration, you would never know that it was the same guitar if it weren't for the progress pics :o .

Such a quality restoration GGJaguar and even more so due to the emotional attachment your wife has to the instrument. There are a lot of sonic/daphne blue mustangs out there but this is one of the good ones. I hope your fam enjoys this instrument, and the stories it holds, for years to come...
