It will polish up quickly, but you'll be able to see cuts and swirls from the rougher grits. I wet sand up to 2000 grit and then use a swirl remover and polish like suggested above. I soft foam 6" buffing/polishing pad for automotive and a regular drill makes quick work of the polishing.
