UPDATE 28-10-22
First picture just came in after my luthier worked on it today
My luthier says it sounds just like an old jazzmaster.
Especially the bridge pickup is very defined.
So I'm suuuuupppperrr excited to pick this one up.
---
After slowly collecting vintage parts for a jazzmaster on OSG over the years it's finally to start building my "as good as it gets" Jazzmaster.
I always wanted a vintage Jazzmaster but realised a long time ago I'll never be able to spend thousands on a guitar.
I've been lucky enough to have been able to find vintage jaguars and mustangs cheap, but on jazzmasters I've missed the boat.
The only Jazzmaster I have (and have played) is my 2012 Squier VM and I'm really curious to see the difference with a vintage one.
I've never even played a vintage Jazzmaster, so we'll see.
The colour will be burgundy mist Sparkle
It's going to be a mix of Pre-CBS and CBS, based on preference and luck.
NECK: '68 modified coronado neck.
The neck was originally found in Mexico by Pat, where it was used on a telecaster. Then it travelled to the UK to Rexter and ended up in my hands way too long ago. I ended up restoring it after I finally found some original Smokers teeth Fender Grover tuners. So the neck is Pearloid heaven and I love it It feels amazing since it got refretted.
PICKGUARD: is a beautiful vintage tortoiseshell that I got from Gonkulator.
PICKUPS: Rewound '59 bridge and a '66 in the neck position with a Mojo harness.
TREMOLO: Pat Pend tremolo, without the arm.
BRIDGE: Good old Staytrem.
