Sonic blue was my vote
Looks especially amazing with a parchment or mint guard.

I think many of the guitars that have been refinished over the years in sonic blue have simply been painted in a darker shade of blue than when new.
Fender based most of their color options on a Dulux paint formula of recent General Motors colors.
What is know in the Fender world as Sonic Blue was first seen on 1954 GM cars... notably the '54/'55 Chevy. My brother had a '55 Chevy painted Skyline Blue and was surprised to see that same color on Fender guitars around 1958.

If that Strat pic is your reference, I reckon it’s gonna look so good. Yep, I agree, the body colour with rosewood is a total winner !

That totally reminds me of the colour of our family car in the late 70s. It was a 1970 GM Holden HG.

I remember it as this colour - though it was a 4 door sedan, not a Ute!
Found a sedan pic…will leave the Ute there for you foreigners to ogle. Streamlined design from Aussie car factories at the time must make you drool (not!)

I would've voted sonic blue as well.
I discovered sonic blue on this site and bought a vmjm in sonic blue. LOVE it.
