Coronado I Minor Restoration

Post by bfulgham » Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:27 pm

I picked up a Coronado I that someone had rescued as a loaded body and paired with a Squier Jazzmaster neck.

The finish is in great shape. It didn’t see much use over its life, and it only has a couple of small dings.

It clearly wore a Pickguard at one point. I managed to find an original one-pickup guard, so that should be going on soon.

The tremolo bar is also missing, but I grabbed a Jazzmaster bar which fits the Mustang tremolo body.

There are two sad things:
1. The original Coronado neck is gone.
2. The original Fender neck plate is gone (probably taken with the neck).

Otherwise, it’s pretty awesome.

That's awesome dude!

Shame about the neck but that's ok.

Even with the wrong neck it's still a beaut!
