1959 Jazzmaster Restoration

Hi all,
I’ve just put the cash down on a refin 1959 Fender Jazzmaster. It looks to be mostly original, however the (gold) tuners and neck plate have been changed (currently has a chrome ‘62 neck plate and repro tuners). The body has a nasty refin and there’s some repaired routing going on under the guard. There’s every chance it could be a partsa but I’m happy it was a good price and I’m looking forward to a restoration project. I’m collecting tonight so will hopefully post some pics soon.
My first question is, what luthier’s would you recommend for refin work here in the U.K? I am based in the Midlands but don’t mind travelling.
As it has a lovely tort guard I am thinking aged Blonde (dependant on wood/grain) or Olympic White, with a little bit of me wanting to go for Desert Sand/Tan. I think it was originally SB judging by the neck pocket.
Any thoughts on colours? Hardware is gold.
Thanks for your help, Adam
