Thanks guys, I am pretty happy with it and playing it most days now. I hope to compare my changes to Antisymmetric's original SG2 soon. May be even put some sound samples up for you to check out....

So here are the two SG-2 guitars together... mine on the right.

The serial numbers are about 2000 apart with my one being the younger of the two, dated 5 Dec 1966.

Noticeable differences:

- Pickguard colour (although I did clean and straighten my one)
- Nuts, the older one is thinner
- knobs, looks like the older ones are chrome while mine are aluminium
- logo, older one has cursive script
- the saddles are very different

My handbuilt bridge pickup sounds brighter than the original and has lower output. (I wound it to 7.5kOhm instead of 9.5kOhm).
My whammy bar construction compares favourably with the original.
