That looks great, it’s always nice to see a vintage piece kept vintage and not destroyed by tasteless mods. Lucky the finish was restored and now you have a family heirloom.

I’ve never seen a rosewood board look as nasty as that
I’m so glad it could be saved
The white undercoat is a great touch too, it should wear in a similar way to the original finish now
