Fair enough. Pink Flag is legend. I didn't know Colin played one. Still not on the top of my wishlist though.

I feel like if you showed this to a total novice in electric guitars and said it was normal, they'd believe you. I mean, how else does it work? It's an electric guitar.
Total Millennium Falcon vibes. Randomly pressing switches during a show, "c'on you bucket of bolts. Don't fail me now."
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

I've had so many chances to get one of those at decent prices in the past, but no i never could... nor ever will i.
It doesn't get worse than that.
Even if Josh Homme also played one.

Robert Smith also played a Breadwinner, with Siouxsie and the Banshees if I'm not mistaken.

^^^ That poor Jag-thing is somewhere here in Argentina, it's a 62 IIRC. I remember seeing it on sale about 8 years ago and recently reappeared in that well known luthier's bench you see in the photo (He wasn't responsible for the butchering).

What on earth happened to the finish on this Custom Shop reissue, either the worst checking job I've ever seen from Fender or the dude lives in a freezer https://reverb.com/item/52822480-fender ... ey-sparkle

Curious that the seller's description of the instrument makes absolutely no mention of the obvious-bad checking. Looks like a phone dropped in a parking lot.X-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 3:14 amWhat on earth happened to the finish on this Custom Shop reissue, either the worst checking job I've ever seen from Fender or the dude lives in a freezer https://reverb.com/item/52822480-fender ... ey-sparkle

That has 100% been hit with the ol' freeze spray can technique. The pattern of checking is a dead giveaway.

Is it the picture or does the bridge pickup have a slight curve?

I think it's the dark area underneath that crudely cut pickup hole in the guard that gives you that impression.higgsblossom wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 1:20 amIs it the picture or does the bridge pickup have a slight curve?
What a mess!
