When you are so against wearing a guitar strap properly that you’re willing to chop off any nonessential part of a guitar ;)

Just what the actual fuck, the actual delusion to use the Custom Shop decals and neckplate are absolutely wild.

Oh and he wants €1k :fp:

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd say there weren't any VM JMs with blocks and binding.

E: Oh there's no binding. Wonder if the blocks are just stickers.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Rickenbacker that Stiv Bator’s guitar player Frank Secich is holding?

Image

He played bass for Blue Ash before joining the Dead Boys as a guitarist. It looks like an early ’60s Fireglow 360 that’s been modified for 1 knob and 6 slider switches.

I imagine that the knob is a master volume, but what about the switches? Each pickup gets an on/off, so that’s 2, and 1 for a series parallel maybe? Then there could be 2 that are tone switches for bass or treble roll off, like the Jag or a Gretsch? But that still leaves 1 unaccounted for.

I guess it’s just a sign of the time? Everyone was putting extra switches on Strat and Les Pauls. BC Rich were covered in switches. Maybe it just replaced wearing an onion on your belt?

Stiv is sporting a Vox guitar. It’s probably covered with switches too.

They're totally deserving of death stringing up the tuners like this...

The entire instrument embodies “stupid is as stupid does“.

The headstock on this 1963 Fender Jazzmaster

Also the extra cut to the neck heel and the extended belly contour, and the fact that literally nothing on that thing is original, aside from the butchered neck and body. But that headstock kills me. Looks like a Squier Rascal -- which is cool, but maybe not the best look for the vintage Jazzmaster this guy wants $5K for.
