Love the shape. Seems like a pretty good price, for such a rare guitar.

I contacted the seller, it seemed like a bit of a deal for a prototype, he replied:

"Thank you for asking about the Fender Starcaster Proto-Type. I delivered that guitar to a friend in England in April. Please also go to my other site – http://www.nilesharper.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; – to see other pieces of my collection that are for sale."

... then followed a mix disappointment and relief that I wasn't going to spend thousands on a guitar.

damn. I was seriously about to go home and take pics to move a lot of gear. Hell of a price IMO for that gutiar

Very stunning guitar indeed. Something about the body shape reminds me of the late 1990's/early 2000's Fender Toronado. Speaking of which, what ever happened to the Toronado? Those were amazing guitars!

thanks! :D wasn't too hard to surf thru his photos, but there was a big gap from 2011-2014... somehow the mystery lives on...
