Technically NGD was 4/25. I thought maybe someone here could shed some light on the origins of this thing, since strat-talk seems stumped. I'm not opposed to the idea that it could be a homemade R.L. Burnside tribute, but if it is in fact some obscure MIJ thing I'd like to know.
It needs some work (temperamental jack, loose pickup ring, a broken screw or 2) but plays like a dream, even with those 5 ancient strings. I could see this becoming my #1 after all is said and done, honestly.

Cool thing! And almost certainly not homemade. I'm sure I have seen these before, although I wouldn't know which of the Japanese factories produced them and under what named they were sold. But the general body type matches some Teiscos and the metal pickguard/trussrod cover and those same pickups were on some early Ibanez guitars if I'm not mistaken.

Looks like a fun guitar, I'd post what I think it is but nah, there are some users here who get super OCD about these. Let them respond.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.
